The entire EQA team is proud to announce the victory secured on September 23, 2026, before the General Court of the European Union on behalf of Oleg Polikarpovich Tkach.

Oleg Tkach had been subject to European restrictive measures since 2022.

Etienne Epron, Cassandra Gimbert, Alexandre Genko, and Maximilien Dechamps have assisted him since that time in devising and implementing a European legal strategy that resulted in the annulment of the contested decisions by the Council of the European Union, which had renewed the restrictive measures against the applicant for that period.

This victory is the culmination of four years of collaborative work with the ELWI teams in Moscow—specifically Igor Sotnikov, Yury Bashmakov, Ekaterina Avtonova, Georgy Suvorov, and Nikita Gusarov.

The firm remains more motivated than ever to ensure that the remaining sanctions against Oleg Tkach are also annulled and that the Council of the European Union complies with this ruling by refraining from reimposing sanctions on him.
